In order to address the raining demand providing Protection and rehabilitation of women and children in difficult circumstances in Kallakuruchi District, JCC has been involved in women welfare programmes in Chinnasalem and surrounding areas through liaison with various network institutions and service providers. We have been implementing awareness programmes in our project areas focused on women rights, legal provisions, domestic violence act 2005, dowry act, marriage act and functions of various allied systems such as Free Legal Aid to bring about awakening among rural women
During our intervention if we rescue any women and children without family support, our social workers refer them to nearby Swadhar Greh recognised by Govt. at Villupuram District. Our social workers travel along with women and admit them in proper places. Follow up is also made to ensure that they get rehabilitated and reunite with their family members.
